Set within a beautifully converted farmhouse in Jersey, this kitchen was created for a family looking for a calm,
contemporary space that combines everyday practicality with timeless design.
Having designed the kitchen in their former home, we were delighted to be invited back to create a kitchen for their new home.
Tailoring the space to suit both the character of the property and modern family living.
The Challenge
The brief called for a kitchen that felt calm, streamlined, and free from clutter, while still delivering highly practical everyday functionality.
Neff integrated appliances and ample concealed storage were essential to maintaining a clean, seamless appearance.
A generous kitchen island was also a key feature of the design, alongside a layout that would flow naturally into the adjoining dining area to create a cohesive open-plan living space.
The Solution
To create the clean, contemporary aesthetic the clients envisioned, the Stoneham Pitch range was chosen for it's understated design and refined slim shaker detailing.
A carefully balanced palette of Cashmere, Vert Cardroom, and Pumice Oak combines soft painted tones with natural timber textures, resulting in a calm, Scandinavian-inspired space with warmth and depth.
The surrounding cabinetry was thoughtfully arranged to allow the island to become the visual anchor of the room.
Along two walls, low-level cabinetry in Cashmere helps keep the space feeling open and uncluttered, while leaving wall space free for displaying artwork and personal touches.
Design & Planning
Positioned opposite the island within the dining area, a bespoke pantry cupboard was designed to provide additional storage while complementing the overall kitchen aesthetic.
Featuring bi-fold doors, the pantry discreetly houses everyday small appliances such as the toaster and coffee machine, alongside shelving for mugs, glassware, and storage jars.
Deep drawers below offer further practical organisation, helping to keep surfaces clear and maintain the kitchen’s calm, uncluttered feel.
Finished in Cashmere, the pantry creates a seamless visual connection with the main kitchen cabinetry and reinforces the cohesive flow of the open-plan space.
Subtle black accents, introduced through the handles and bar stools, provide a contemporary contrast while allowing the island and kitchen features to remain the focal points of the design.
Appliances
At the heart of the kitchen sits the striking island in Vert Cardroom, designed to create both a functional and social focal point within the space.
An integrated NEFF induction hob with built-in extractor has been seamlessly incorporated into the work surface, providing a sleek and uninterrupted finish.
Thoughtfully positioned, the cooking area allows the owners to remain connected with the dining space while preparing meals.
The Neff ovens, fridge, and freezer have been integrated within the beautiful Pumice Oak tall cabinetry, delivering a clean, streamlined aesthetic while maximising both practicality and storage.
Worksurfaces
Selecting the perfect worksurface was essential. It needed to complement the variety of colours and finishes throughout the kitchen without overpowering the overall design.
Caesarstone 4600 Organic White worksurfaces were chosen for its soft off white tone and delicate detailing, bringing a refined and timeless elegance to the space.
A strong luxury non porous worktop Caesarstone quartz is the perfect choice for a hard working busy family kitchen.
All our worksurfaces are expertly fabricated in our dedicated workshop in Five Oaks by our specialist worksurface fabrictors and fitters.
The Finished Result
