The Challenge
The brief called for a kitchen that complemented the views rather than distracted from it. Fitted accross two rooms seperated by glass doors it was important the rooms worked as one space
The kitchen was to be kept to one side of the space to allow for a relaxed entertaining area on the otherside and the double doors leading onto the patio area.
Casual seating in the kitchen area and an entertaining space were also important to our client
The Solution
To ensure the cabietry complemented rather than distracted from the stunning views in this open plan room light coloured cabinetry was chosen
A carefully balanced palette of Cashmere smooth painted finish combined with the rich tones of Anthracite Oak cabinetry to add interest and to add a rich traditional look to the space. Resulting in a light airy room.
A peninsula was designed to allow for extra seating. With a waterfall edge to create the perfect finishing touch
Positioned within the casual seating area, a bespoke bar unit was designed in Anthracite Oak. .
Featuring bi fold doors and Walnut internals. Making the room the perfect place for entertaining.
Design & Planning
Our client was extending her home to create space for a new kitchen, so it was essential that we produced high-quality renders to help her visualise the finished design.
Following the initial presentation, she met with our designer to discuss any adjustments she wished to make. We then updated the renders to reflect the revised layout and details, ensuring she could see exactly how the final space would look.
Our goal is always to create kitchens that are not only beautiful but also highly practical, delivering a space that perfectly suits our clients’ lifestyles and needs.
Special features
Positioned within the entertainment area, this bespoke Anthracite Oak home bar was designed to combine style and practicality. Pocket doors allow the bar to be neatly concealed when not in use, while remaining completely unobtrusive when open, making it ideal for entertaining.
The interior features integrated lighting, glass shelving, and a mirrored splashback, creating a sophisticated and luxurious focal point. To maintain a cohesive design throughout the space, the same worktop material used in the kitchen was selected for the bar's internal surfaces.
Thoughtfully designed storage includes dedicated drawers for essentials such as bottle openers, coasters, napkins, and bar snacks, ensuring everything is within easy reach when hosting guests.
At the base of the cabinet, spacious pull-out drawers provide additional wine storage, offering both convenience and elegant organisation.
Worksurfaces
Selecting the perfect worksurface was a key element of this project. It needed to harmonise with the two-tone cabinetry while remaining light, elegant, and detailed enough to add interest without competing with the spectacular views beyond.
Caesarstone 4600 Organic White was the perfect choice. Its soft off-white background and subtle veining bring a refined, timeless quality to the space, complementing the overall design beautifully.
Renowned for its durability and non-porous surface, Caesarstone quartz offers both luxury and practicality, making it an excellent solution for a busy family kitchen.
Every worksurface is expertly fabricated in our dedicated Five Oaks workshop by our skilled team of specialist fabricators and installers, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and a flawless finish.
