We are a kitchen showroom in Jersey
The top Design Trend for 2024 continues to be the kitchen island
A kitchen should of course always be designed to take into account how the homeowners live and use the space and also the architecture of the property but the kitchen island has become one of those timeless designs that, instead of becoming outdated, has gained more popularity as time goes by and it is easy to see why.

This beautiful, bespoke Stoneham kitchen has been designed using the Penshurst Oak painted kitchen. Finished in Cashmere for the peninsula units and Hague Blue on the island
This case study exemplifies the success of combining the client's vision with premium materials and expert craftsmanship to create a kitchen that is truly a work of art.

The Challenge
For this project, we aimed to create a kitchen that blends traditional elegance with modern sophistication.
We chose Stoneham's Penshurst range, finished in a soft Cashmere for the cabinetry, paired with the striking Blue Hague for the standout island.
The Shaker-style cabinets offer a timeless, classic design, embodying the beauty of traditional craftsmanship.
To add a contemporary twist, the bold dark-colored island was specifically selected to create a striking contrast, making it the focal point of the space and a true statement piece.
This design seamlessly combines classic and modern elements, resulting in a kitchen that is both functional and visually stunning.

The Solution
To enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the space, we incorporated several bespoke features that cater to the client's specific needs.
Oak shelves were seamlessly integrated into the design, providing a special place for her cherished china collection to be displayed with elegance.
To further elevate the design, we included pull-out oak trays and a tall wine rack, creating a cohesive, warm look that ties together the kitchen's traditional and contemporary elements.
Recognising that storage was a priority, we ensured the kitchen was both practical and organized, with deep drawers and a spacious pantry providing optimal storage solutions for everyday use.
This thoughtful design approach combines beauty with practicality, making the space both visually appealing and highly functional.
Design & Planning
The owners of this charming traditional farmhouse in Jersey embarked on a renovation project to modernise their property, with the kitchen at the heart of the transformation.
With a deep appreciation for the age and character of their farmhouse, they sought a design that would both complement and enhance the space.
The kitchen needed to blend seamlessly with the home's traditional aesthetic while offering the functionality required for their passion for cooking and entertaining.
The layout was meticulously planned to provide ample space for food preparation and socialising.
Throughout the design process, we worked closely with the clients, listening to their needs and desires, ensuring that the final kitchen met both their aesthetic vision and practical requirements.

Appliances
To maintain the kitchen's traditional aesthetic while incorporating modern conveniences, we selected Siemens integrated appliances such as the dishwasher, fridge, and freezer, ensuring a seamless look that blends perfectly with the design.
For cooking, we chose top-of-the-line Siemens iQ700 StudioLine appliances, including the Single FullSteam Oven and Compact45 Oven with Microwave, offering exceptional functionality and sleek design.
These high-performance ovens provide the perfect balance of style and cutting-edge technology.
To complete the streamlined look, we incorporated innovative plinth vents, expertly routed into the plinths to eliminate the need for visible metal vents.
This clever detail preserves the kitchen's clean, refined appearance while ensuring efficient airflow and ventilation, making the space both beautiful and functional.
Worktops
The extensive island became the focal point, offering plenty of room for the owners to cook with a vented hob, a secondary prep sink, and a slim drink cooler, making it perfect for hosting and entertaining guests.
To ensure there were no joins in the island or on the long peninsula worktop. Staron Morning Sky was used. A white worktop with a soft blue/grey marble vein.
At one end of the island, we designed a raised circular table, creating an ideal spot for informal dining and relaxed coffee breaks.
To add a unique touch, we selected a Staron worktop in a rich dark grey shade (Tempest Caviar) for the dining area, which contrasted beautifully with the Staron worktops throughout the rest of the kitchen.

The Final Result
The transformation of this farmhouse kitchen is a true testament to thoughtful design, collaboration, and attention to detail.
From the very beginning, we worked closely with our clients, understanding their vision and carefully listening to their needs.
Every decision, from the selection of Stoneham’s Penshurst range to the integration of bespoke features like oak shelves and pull-out trays, was made to reflect both the character of their traditional home and their modern lifestyle.
The final kitchen is not only a space for cooking and entertaining but also a beautiful, functional hub that seamlessly blends style with practicality.
Throughout the process, we ensured the design was not just about aesthetics but also about creating a space that worked for their daily routines.
The result is a kitchen that exceeds expectations—one that the owners can enjoy for years to come.
